Ladbrokes Launch new Games from Dynamite Idea as they Announce a 50% Increase in Games Revenue
Bookmakers Ladbrokes have announced the launch in December of the first 2 in a batch of new games from leading e-gaming developer Dynamite Idea.
The launch follows a 50% increase in games revenue profits from Ladbrokes for the first 6 months of 2007, to £7.5million, and a record first half operating profit of £195 million, despite poor performance from their poker product. Ladbrokes Chief Executive Christopher Bell announced that the firm was doing better than it and the market had expected, having posted a rise in pre-tax profits of 84 per cent for the four months ending October.
“This brings Ladbrokes' stable of Dynamite games to fourteen and counting,” said Dynamite Idea's CEO Simon Caddy. “The 2 initial new games are Casino Dice and the highly popular cross-over game Bingo Keno Extreme. There is clear evidence that the presence of soft games on sports book sites has an impact on profitability. It can also be a key decider in why players might choose one gaming site over another, because some sites simply aren't delivering in this area. The fact is people are becoming more discerning. They don't just want to play the same old games.”
A strong selection of well designed games is proven to keep players online longer, and contributes to the overall playing experience, with lots of gamblers drifting over from the sports book and casino and vice versa. An increased contribution from online games enables sports book sites to reinvest strategically in technology and enhance shareholder value.
“Experience pays dividends,” said Simon Caddy. “Dynamite Idea has created some of the most popular fixed odds betting games in the market. We understand which concepts will attract the consumer and have the imagination and talents to put our ideas into practice.”
Ladbokes' winning suite from Dynamite Idea comprises the following games with more to follow:
